We love raw, organic + local honey!

“Honey is the soul of a field of flowers” -
Dick Paetzke

Raw, organic, local honey is an essential ingredient in our facials! We love to use this particular type of honey in our custom blended face masks as it's full of vitamins, minerals + powerful antioxidants, and contains anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.

Raw, organic, local honey is quite different from the regular honey you may find at a large-chain grocery store. The former is best sourced at local farmers markets - making sure it's not been pasteurized, heated or processed in any way, and therefore contains these many valuable benefits. We source our honey from local beekeeper, and team member's father, Dennis Edell. Read our Q&A with local beekeeper here!

  • Acne: Honey has natural anti-bacterial properties, making it a great choice for any clients dealing with acne or wanting to prevent acne.
  • Anti-Aging: Containing large amounts of antioxidants, it's used for preventing signs of aging and fighting free radical damage.
  • Radiance: It is extremely moisturizing, soothing and softening, aiding in creating a natural, youthful glow.
  • Pores: Honey is clarifying, tightening, toning, and assists in unclogging + detoxifying pores.

Seasonal allergies + local honey
Organic, local, raw honey may be used in small amounts to help treat seasonal allergy symptoms. Honey that is raw will still contain all the living enzymes needed to protect your body from a histamine overdose. If you are looking to use honey in allergy prevention, you must choose honey harvested at the correct time of year; if you have spring time allergies, choose honey that's been harvested in the spring - if you have fall allergies, choose honey that's been harvested in the fall! Connect with local farmers directly to make sure you are receiving the most accurate information about what you purchase, and choosing honey that contains pollen specific to your area.

We also like making this herbal tea to help our seasonal allergies:
  • Nettle (Urtica dioica)
  • Wild Yam (Dioscorea villosa)
  • Dandelion Root (Taraxacum officinale)
  • Plantain leaves (Plantago major)

We love using local honey in our Custom Facial Treatments at our Organic Skincare Clinic.
