Everything you need to know about our 'Liquid Gold' Face Balm

Did you know our Protecting + Restoring Face Balm is great for all seasons, not just the colder winter months? Our skincare expert Sarah offers her tips for year-round skin rescue, as well as more information about the key active plant ingredients in this ‘liquid gold’.

Our face balm is a blend of nourishing beeswax and precious botanical oils high in antioxidants to help support and recover skin from daily stresses and environmental damage.

This balm is a lifesaver to use on areas of dryness and surface wrinkles to help support and hydrate. Rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and fight free radicals that affect the skin from sun exposure and extreme cold.

ALL SEASONS

After spritzing face with our Invigorating + Balancing Toner and applying a serum, give yourself a facial massage to stimulate points and then apply a thin layer of balm all over for extra hydration paying attention to fine lines and wrinkles. This will help to plump out the texture of the skin and keep you glowing until morning time!
Warm a little balm in between ring fingers and use for an eye drainage massage with lots of eye circles in upwards outwards movement starting at the inner corner of eyebrows. Ensure to apply a little to the delicate skin on the outer corner of eyes that can be sensitive and sore. Our eye area does not have as many oil glands as the rest of our face so it can feel and look dry and dull more easily.

SUMMER

After being exposed to sun and sea water skin will feel extra dehydrated and thirsty, so before going to bed apply Face Balm to entire face and on to chest, neck and cleavage to recover skin’s radiance. Read our post on a skincare vacation regime for more info.

WINTER

Have a warm bath so circulation to the skin is improved and pores are open; apply a thicker layer of this balm as an all over mask to repair and feed your skin with liquid gold goodness!

KEY INGREDIENTS

Organic Apricot Kernel oil naturally moisturizes and nourishes. It is rich in Vitamins A, B and E which protect and hydrates the skin. This oil reduces irritations and inflammations.

Organic Camelina Seed oil naturally nourishes + enlivens. Camelina Seed oil is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin E and antioxidants, which are essential for the maintenance of great skin.

Organic Broccoli oil is naturally moisturizing and rejuvenating and contains a unique combination of fatty acids which enriches the skin to restore its natural glow. It is lightweight, non-greasy and easily absorbed to work on a deep cellular level.

Organic Rose Hip Seed oil is a potent ingredient that is known as a naturally high source of Vitamin C to help brighten and improve the appearance of dark spots, pigmentation and restore skin tone.

Organic Sea Buckthorn oil naturally repairs and strengthens. Rich in EFAs and carotenoids, Sea Buckthorn oil is a highly concentrated treatment for damaged skin, scar tissue, wrinkles, eczema, and rosacea.

DIRECTIONS

Use daily as needed. Warm a small amount of balm in the palm of your hands and apply a thin layer to face and neck in upward, circular motions. For best results use directly after Province Apothecary Cleanser + Make Up Remover, Toner and Face Serum.
