This raffle is an attempt to rally our communities to help fight racism, discrimination, and unequal access for Black, Indigenous (People) and People of Colour (BIPOC). By participating in this raffle, you’re supporting charities across Canada focused on the advancement of BIPOC and standing up against intolerance, prejudice, and injustice.

How to enter:

  1. See below for a list of BIPOC charity organizations we recommend donating to + choose which organizations most resonate with you. The minimum donation amount we will accept per entry is $20.
  2. Each additional $10 you donate will grant you an additional entry in the raffle.
  3. Please email a screenshot of your donation to donations@provinceapothecary.com.
  4. Our winner will be announced on August 31st.

List of charities to give to:

Our recommended organizations include charities helping BIPOC youth, women, and businesses by providing services in many areas including social services, education, advocacy efforts, arts and culture, mental health support, emergency helplines and more.

Women’s Health in Women’s Hands
WHIWH Community Health Centre provides primary healthcare to Black Women and Women of Colour from the Caribbean, African, Latin American and South Asian communities in Metropolitan Toronto and surrounding municipalities.

The Black Mental Health Matters Fund by The Healing Collective
This fund is led, held, and administered by two Black Registered Social Workers to directly help provide a fair wage to Black therapists providing therapy sessions and workshops to those most in need in Black/ Afro-Indigenous communities.

Black Youth Helpline
BYH serves all youth and specifically responds to the need for a Black youth specific service, positioned and resourced to promote access to professional and culturally appropriate support for youth, families and schools.

Anduhyaun Inc.
Anduhyaun is a shelter as well as a second stage housing service for Aboriginal women and their children who have experienced violence.

The CEE Centre for Young Black Professionals
The CEE Centre For Young Black Professionals is a Toronto based charity that is dedicated to addressing the economic and social barriers that affect Black youth ages 14 and over who are not in employment, education, or training (NEET).

Black Business and Professional Association
BBPA is a charitable organization that addresses equity and opportunity for the Black community by delivering programs that support business, employment, education and economic development.

Indigenous Culture and Language Resurgence Fund
The Culture and Language Resurgence fund will provide support to many community-led initiatives throughout the Canadian north including early childhood education language immersion, adult education focused on language and culture, cultural and arts festivals, literacy programs offered in Indigenous languages, and youth camps focused on traditional activities.

Nia Centre for Arts
This Toronto-based organization supports, showcases and promotes an appreciation of arts from across the African Diaspora.

The Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention
The Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention (Black CAP) works to respond to the threat of HIV and AIDS in Toronto’s African, Caribbean and Black communities. They are Canada’s largest Black specific AIDS service organization.
