About Loversland

LoversLand is an inclusive, approachable retail space where men and women, of all races, and sexual preferences can celebrate love. Whether it be a bride shopping for a gown or a groom looking for a gift for their partner, we want our guests to walk away knowing there is a little something for everyone at LoversLand.

LoversLand is unlike virtually any other bridal shop in the world – you can simply walk in without an appointment or a wedding in your near future. The space combines a beautiful, modern entrance (featuring a curated array of lifestyle products), with an enclosed dressing area for lovers seeking guidance in a private, comfortable, appointment-only area lovingly nicknamed ‘The Haven’.

At LoversLand we strive to tailor each and every appointment to the bride– personalization is key for us. Tensions can run high at this time in a woman’s life, so at LoversLand we really try to be as supportive and informative as possible. Once a bride has purchased a dress from Loversland they are initiated into our #LLClub, which is our family of kick-ass brides who are die-hard fashion-lovers with their own unique style. The idea is to have our brides leave feeling that their dress shopping experience was the most relaxed, and fun part of wedding planning. This usually involves a whole lotta happy tears, laughs, and of course some bubbly.”

Take it from a Bride

With the Loversland bride and their stress-free approach as our inspiration - we created this guide of what you can do this summer to nourish yourself.

Self-Care

It’s important for a bride to manage daily stresses and everything that comes along with planning a wedding. Stress can wreak havoc on your body and mind, having a few daily de-stressing and grounding practices can go a long way. Here are a few that we really love.

  1. Be sure to get a good night’s sleep. Sleeping for 8 hours each night will allow your internal organs to restore, and your nervous system to destress. Having a good day starts with a good night’s sleep.
  2. Practice gratitude. List five things you’re grateful for every morning. Having a daily gratitude practice will infuse each day with positivity. Gratitude reduces stress and gives you space to be less reactive in triggering situations.
  3. Start scheduling you-time. Make the time you need for yourself non-negotiable when you are planning out your week. Book it in your calendar like you would a doctor’s appointment. You can’t give from an empty vessel. So, give to yourself first so that you can take care of the people in your life.

Nourishment

Brides want to look their best for the big day. Which means re-evaluating how you nourish yourself body, mind, and soul. Glow comes from within.

  1. Nourish your body. Cut down on refined sugars, coffee, and alcohol. By cutting down on these three things and adding more green vegetables and superfoods to your diet, you will find a boost in your energy. You will sleep better. And feel fresh.
  2. Nourish your mind. We are curious beings by nature. Feed that curiosity. Be dynamic. Try new things. An engaged mind is part of feeling fulfillment and happiness.
  3. Nourish your spirit. Include a meditation practice into your day. If you’ve never meditated before try this: when you get out of bed in the morning, plant your feet onto the floor, ground and take 5 deep breaths. Starting your day this way will make you feel grounded and less shakeable when life doesn’t go as planned.

Community

Bridal showers, bachelorette parties, planning meetings, rehearsal dinners, tastings are some of the events that precede a wedding. Brides are surrounded by loved ones all throughout the planning of their wedding. This connection to the people you love and trust helps brides get through and handle what can sometimes be an overwhelming time. Spending time with our loved ones enriches our lives and reminds us of what’s most important.

  1. Host a dinner party for your closest friends. Making a meal for the people you love is one of the truest expression of love and affection.
  2. Plan a family day with your parents. We grow up, we move out and sometimes a lot of time passes between phone calls. Spending time together helps keep connected and in the know of what’s happening in each other’s lives. Keeping that family bond strong takes effort.
  3. Have an old-school sleepover with your best friends. Do facemasks, play charades, laugh until your stomach hurts. Let go of adulting for and be care-free for a night.

If you try any of these let us know! And if you have your own self-care practices, leave a comment below!
